Here at Just Poppin, we love an excuse to celebrate, so we’re thrilled that the 4th of July is just around the corner. Here are some great popcorn ideas for your celebration!

Make it

Colored popcorn is a fun addition to any party – and for July 4th, there’s no finer color palette than red, white and blue. To make colored popcorn at home, pop up a big batch of mushroom popcorn, and separate it into three bowls. Add each bowlful to a large zip top bag, spray with butter flavored cooking spray, sprinkle in powdered food coloring or colored sugar or salt in your desired shade, and shake away!

Serve it

We’ve all got our favorite flavor of popcorn, but on a day as special as Independence Day , it’s all about how you serve it. The Idea Room has a fantastic (free!) template for July 4th serving boxes in sparkling shades of red, white and blue – all you need to do is decide which flavor to fill them with!

Craft it

If you’re looking for a fun activity for the kids on the 4th of July, check out this cute, easy flag craft from mylot.com. With some multicolored construction paper and a sprinkling of popcorn, they can make a patriotic poster to make your celebrations even more festive.
